Police close roads after incident in Edinburgh

A number of roads have been closed in part of central Edinburgh following what police have described as a “road traffic accident”.

A Police Scotland statement said: “Shortly after 7.30pm on Saturday, 2 November, we responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Enquiries are ongoing.

“Blair Street, Guthrie Street, and Candlemaker Road are closed.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.”
