Police appeal after ‘unexplained’ sudden death of 11-year-old boy

Police are investigating the sudden death of an 11-year-old boy at an address in Lancaster on Saturday.

The death of the youngster is being treated as “unexplained”, Lancashire Constabulary has said.

North West Ambulance Service was called to a property in Greenset Close, Lancaster, at 12.04pm on 2 March and found the boy unresponsive.

He was later pronounced dead. A coroner has been informed.

A police spokesperson said: “An investigation is ongoing and the boy’s family are being supported by specially trained officers.

“Our thoughts are with the boy’s loved ones at this incredibly sad time.”

The force has appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
