Officers were called to a flat within Dumbreck Court following the discovery of the 29-year-old’s body at around 12.30pm on Monday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death which, at this time, police are treating as suspicious.”

Officers locked down the scene after the alarm was raised and will maintain a presence in the area as the investigation continues.

The force spokesperson added: “Enquiries are at an early stage.

“We will continue to have a police presence in the area and anyone with concerns can approach these officers.”
