An emergency was declared after a plane landing at Dublin Airport experienced a “minor issue” with its landing gear.

The Ryanair flight from Liverpool on Sunday afternoon was met by the airport’s fire service, with passengers kept on board until the fire officer had given the all-clear.

Ryanair said in a statement that the plane experienced “a minor technical issue” with its nose landing gear upon landing.

The plane will be inspected by engineers, Ryanair said.

Passengers were met by medics in the terminal and no injuries were reported, although one person was treated for shock, Dublin Airport said on Twitter.

“The Dublin Airport Fire Service responded, and the passengers disembarked the aircraft normally once the all-clear was given by the Airport Fire Officer,” a statement from the Dublin Airport Authority added.

Air traffic operations were restricted during the incident, and on Sunday evening only the north runway was in use.
