Police are treating the sudden death of a 22-year-old man in Llanelli as suspicious and have made an arrest.

Liam Rees Morgan-Whittle died in the early hours of Saturday, 25 March.

Emergency services had been called to a flat on Robinson Street over concerns for the welfare of a man.

Mr Morgan-Whittle was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

His family said in a statement they are “devastated” by his death.

They said: “He was a wonderful young man who will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

“We would ask for privacy at this sad time.”

Dyfed-Powys Police said officers are treating Mr Morgan-Whittle’s death as suspicious.

A 38-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has since been released on bail as enquiries continue.

Police said officers are conducting house-to-house enquiries in the area on Monday.

Mr Morgan-Whittle’s family continues to receive support from specialist officers.
