Police were called after a member of the public found a body in a recycling bin.

The grim discovery was made in Scalby, Scarborough, at 6am on Friday.

Detectives and specialist teams are currently at the scene and a cordon is in place.

Inquiries are ongoing, but officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
